Description

One half of a globular jar of greyish brown fabric with a burnished and decorated external surface. Reconstructed. Decoration, infilled with lime, consists of: vertical incised lines along the rim edge; two horizontal ridges, each with a row of impressed dots either side; a wide horizontal ridge and groove; two horizontal ridges, dropping at regular intervals into a V-shape with a vertical tail that has two dots either side; row of small, oblique incised lines with a dot next to each V-shape; a group of three dots between each V-shape. Jar has a small, slightly recessed base, a globular body, and a wide, everted rim.
