Buff coarse ware rim sherd with incomplete tunnel handle. Simple rim, external side curves outwards with a perforated circular hole for a finger hold; flat on the exterior but creating a tunnel and round bulge on the interior.

This is likely one of the fragments of pottery from Ghar Dalam sent to Miles Burkitt by Gertrude Caton Thompson on 19 March 1923 (see archive MM1/10/37) for 'comparative purposes.' In her letter she notes that she has labelled them 'according to the ideas of [Themistocles] Zammit' but that their classification was still unsatisfactory and subject to change. Caton Thompson has therefore been added to the Source field.
