Description

Two adjoining neck sherds of a cutaway spouted jug. Connecting to form a cylindrical neck, with intact curve upwards to form the bottom of the spout. Red polished ware with a border of incised lozenges, body decorated with small rows of incised lines in checked pattern; and curved snakes and circles applied in relief, both stabbed with small holes. All lines are filled with lime.

Description (Physical description)
For 1951.2015 [A-D]: 'Sherds of Red Polished ware from many different types of pot including the neck of large cut-away spouted jug with plastic snake ornament, horn-lug bowls, ear-lug pots, etc. These sherds are almost certainly from Vasilia from one of the tombs.'
