Description

Globular flask of buff fabric with red polished slip. Tall neck ending in animal head; vertical double looped double rod handle, 8-shaped in section, from base of neck to top of flask to shoulder; small projection in the front of the base of the neck; tubular spout projecting from front of body at the height of the widest point. Incised decoration: unframed hatched lines on neck; three parallel vertical lines from the middle of the handle loops down to the widest part of the body, on both ends marked with two incised dots; on both sides of the flask, two diagonal bands of three parallel lines are going from the upper part of the vertical bands and each bottom ends marked with two incised dots as well; in the spaces in between unframed hatched lines. Complete apart from one side of the animal head at the spout being broken off and missing.
