Context (CMS Context)
Bought 8/6 Probably from Cyprus. An early Bronze Age type in Cyprus A collection of pottery and terra-cotta figures " the property of the late Ambassador to Constantinople" was bought, on behalf of Mesrs Jolley of Cambridge in September 1923, at a sale at Bournemouth (cost 5/- and 3/6). Many of the objects, probably a definite majority were undoubtably from Cyprus, and it is possible that the whole collection came thence. But none bore any labels; Date: ?5 Century BC; ?6 Century BC -; Research: Dated and described By Cook.A.B On -
