Description

Jug of buff brown ware with mottled green glaze, large portion of rim and neck missing. Wide mouth with collared rim atop upright neck, tapering slightly towards body; base of neck ringed by two raised horizontal ribs; single vertical loop handle with vertical row of stabbed impressions along its length attached below rim and at shoulder; squat biconical body; slightly sagging base with five thumbed ‘feet’. Mottled green glaze present on upper-two thirds of exterior surface. Roughly one-third of rim and neck broken off and missing.
