Object is a tridacna clam shell nose ornament with 'W. Torres Strs' written on he object in pencil. Located in the Beck Bead cabinet in July 2007 with two glass copies of nose shell ornaments. The two glass ornaments were accessioned as 2007.334 A-B. It is likely they were arranged and displayed on the card with 1925.672 as noted on the catalogue card 'Card of glass "shell" ornaments made in Austria & exported to the Pacific'. R.Hand 2014/10/7

But on sight of the object this looks like a tusk, but label reads: ' real shell' , and ' New Guinea' and in pencil on the object is ' W. Torres Sts' .
