Description

Copper alloy palstave axe. Slightly flared blade edge with no discernible edge bevel and a long slender body which widens in the middle forming a diamond shaped cross section. Two loops are present either side of the deep hafting flanges which leave a rectangular recessed portion towards the butt end. Deep pitting and dark patina are present across the whole surface.
