Description
14 sherds of medium to coarse, buff coloured fabric, including seven rim sherds, one with part of a handle, six body sherds, and one base sherd. Rim sherds: three with red slip and deep horizontal grooves, one with grooves filled with lime; two with red-brown to dark grey slip and deep horizontal grooves; one with red slip; one with part of a strap handle of rectangular cross-section, and an incised horizontal line on the neck. Body sherds: one with red-brown slip and horizontal grooves; one with orange slip and two ridges; two with orange slip, one burnished; one with red to black slip. Base sherd: external surface black and burnished.

The accession register description for 1924.892 reads '12 fragments of Bronze Age pottery'. However, 14 pottery sherds of a similar fabric and decoration were found marked '24.892'. These sherds are therefore believed to belong to the same accession number. The description and number fields have been updated accordingly.
