Description

Hallstatt double spiral ‘spectacle’ brooch of copper alloy with pin and hook emerging from spiral centres, pin broken off and missing. The whole brooch is constructed from a single continuous length of wire, twisted to form two flat spiral coils joined by a figure-of-eight; the wire has a circular cross-section in the coils and square cross section in the figure-of-eight.
