The Accession Register lists no Place information for these objects and the Catalogue card lists Africa unprovenanced. At an unknown date, the Place field was updated to include '?South Africa', possibly due to 1931.144.6-7 being stored in a South Africa unprovenanced box historically. '?East Africa' has now also been added as most of Beven's African collection comes from East Africa and 1931.144.1-5 were previously stored in a Kenya box.
