Description

Terracotta head of a woman, possibly a goddess. Her face is depicted, unsmiling, and she wears an ornate head-dress. An appendage has broken off from the top of the centre of the head-dress. Traces of white pigment remain around her head-dress. The head is moulded and open at the back.

Description for 1927.1174 A-C: 'Three terracotta heads of figurines, youthful male heads with curious headdress - hair parted in the middle and drawn back under a narrow band, which is surmounted by a wreath having a central crest composed of a rosette and a tall palmette. Greek work'.
