Lidded bowl of buff ware with black glaze. Lid is conical with a double rim around the knob and the rim, with black radiating lines between; integral knob is wedge shaped and impressed in the centre to create an everted rim. Bowl has everted rim with internal flange for the lid; concave neck and short, rounded body and collared base with footring. The shoulder has two opposing sets of four pointed knobs, the central two are larger. Decorated on both sides with female heads in side profile wearing hats, different in appearance, flanked by spiral palmette motif, and comb-shaped decoration above; below the knobs are semicircular with radiating lines, though one has been covered with a thin layer of black glaze.
