Description

Copper alloy wing flanged axe. The blade is thin and very fragmented, with none of the cutting edge remaining; the remaining body of the blade is decorated with incised ring-and-dot motifs; rounded flange between the blade and haft, flaring slightly at each end; body incorporates wing flanges, slightly folded inwards, decorated on the external surfaces with parallel incised bands; pierced hole through the centre of the haft. There is a crack through the centre of the haft. Green patina.
