Description
Large, complete, spouted and handled jar or jug. Upright rim; short, constricted neck tapering towards body; bulbous, squat body with a tubular, freestanding spout on shoulder; right-angled, flat base. A large, stabbed, flat strap handle runs from rim to shoulder. Dark grey surfaces with small areas of orange to buff colouration. Unglazed, wheel-thrown. Used for transporting and storing water.
