Description (Physical description)
Original description for MC 1899.247.2-3 reads: 'Pair of heavy ?ear ornaments (cast solid). The ring (thin and flat above, thicker and rounded below) carries on its base three large rounded pellets with flattened sides.'

O'Leary notes: '1 pair of ear-rings, 1 bronze adze, found on Carbury Hill, on the east side, in the year 1862, one find' ...'The Cardbury find was unearthed by James Smyth, whilst sowing potatoes on the east side of the hill, in 1862.' ...'The rings are the size of a man's finger, and the 3 balls attached are of solid copper.'
