Description
Iron 'Brown bill' or halberd. Pointed and sharpened spike with a curved billhook and axehead blade beneath and a pointed fluke on the back edge. Closed socket with an open rectangular section with partial wooden shaft kept in place with a rectangular notched rivet incised with an X. Some small holes indicating historic pest action.
