Description

One iron andiron/firedog of an identical pair. Vertical, decorative element of a female figure standing on a plinth that has two legs; an 'L'-shaped simple horizontal bracket with rectangular cross-section protrudes from the bottom section of this; with a leg at the end. The figure faces outwards with shoulder-length hair; arms crossed at the chest; a collared dress is rolled at the elbows, bunched at the knees and opened; legs are bare with socks. The figure is standing on a plinth decorated with a cherub head, with a stepped spiral lobe protruding from each side to form the leg, each with a rectangular base. The back of the vertical element is flat, with two vertical hooks.

Description (Physical description)
One iron andiron/firedog of an identical pair. Vertical, decorative element of a female figure standing on a plinth that has two legs; from the bottom section of this an 'L'-shaped simple horizontal bracket with rectangular cross-section protrudes; with circular knob projecting from the bottom halfway across; turning at ninety degrees at the opposite end to create a third leg. The figure faces outwards with shoulder-length hair; arms crossed at the chest; a collared dress is rolled at the elbows, bunched at the knees and opened; legs are bare with socks. The figure is standing on a plinth decorated with a cherub head, with a stepped spiral lobe protruding from each side to form the leg, each with a rectangular base. The back of the vertical element is flat, with a hook above the horizontal bracket, and a slightly hollowed oval above this.
