Description

Tinder box, comprising of main body (.1), detachable lid (.2) and inner lid (.3) and containing one metal strike-a-light (.4) and burned cotton tinder (.5) now in three pieces. Round tin in silver coloured metal, with vertical ring handle on one side, detachable lid with central handle in the form of two curled rings of metal, inner lid identical in design but with larger rings on the handle which are now broken. Iron strike-a-light with rectangular striking plate and recurved handle which is square in section and ends with an ornamental coil. Cotton tinder with extensive signs of burning, now in three pieces.
