Catalogue card for 1923.1150 A-B: 'Two knives, one (overall length 10.5") has a leaf shaped blade, the other (length 7.75") has a blade like an 18th century table knife but they resemble each other in the structure of the hilts which was of bone or horn divided by plates of brass threaded onto the tang at frequent intervals.'
