Description
Copper alloy sword pommel. Round in shape with two flat faces and a large opening on the bottom with a smaller perforation on the top. Both faces have incised decoration of foliage or embellishments around a circular portion with heraldic arms in the centre. One face has a chequy shield and the other has a series of chevrons. The surface of the object is covered in dark material, possibly sooting.
