Description
Standing costrel (Pilgrim's bottle) incorporating an upright rim, narrow neck, globular body with flat sides, expanding flat base and two vertical loop handles. Made of a buff ware fabric with white glaze. Painted decoration of two stars on either side using a blue pigment. Incised bands around the base of the neck.

Globular flat-sided Pilgrim bottle with two curved strap handles. Buff ware, slightly glazed white and decorated with two blue stars, one on each side. Slightly expanding foot.
