Description
Iron halberd [.1] with long blade, fluke and spike all intact. Long blade is rectangular with the blade end flaring out into a long rectangle witha single semicircular cut out at either end; blade is straight. Spike has a square cross-section with a rectangular cross-sectioned panel towards the blade end. Fluke tapers to a point with several semicircular cutouts, with a makers mark of three crowns. Squared brace around the socket with two langets and two copper alloy langet pins in place. A second pair of langets [.2] are attached to a modern piece of wood, with two copper alloy langets pins in place.

Halberd, the rear spike stamped with maker's mark of three crowns, attached to remnant of shaft by two straps. A second pair of reinforcing straps, not attached to head, are in plane perpendicular to first pair. The straps attached to the wood by nails, except that each has a rivet with sexpoiled brass head at each end at top
