Description
Carved monumental brass mounted on wood. Depicting a standing female figure facing towards the right with hands clasped together in a prayer position, wearing a shroud, with long hair and bare feet. Three screws are holding the brass into the wooden display mount which has been painted a yellowish colour.

Old label on back reads: 'Bought in April 1900 from Rev.Chas Kerry of Upper Stondon, Beds. Mr Kerry, who was formerly Curate of St Lawrence's Reading, bought it in a rag and bone shop in that town in 1882. Exhibited and described by me at the Society of Antiquaries, May 17 1900. [v.
