Description
Iron rowel spur with curved sides, elongated neck and eight-pointed rowel. Sides have a broad, strap-like cross-section, ending in downturned figure-of-eight terminals; three flat, lozenge-shaped fixtures are attached to the terminals (now fused), two on one side, one on the other; fixtures have a flat hook at either end and are pierced at their centre by a circular hole. Elongated neck is slightly downturned with an oval cross-section; two nubs project either side of the rowel box.
