Description

Cylindrical two-handled mug or tyg of lead-glazed Cistercian ware. Wide mouth with slightly everted rim; vertical body walls with distinctive horizontal ribbing; two vertical strap handles attached to one side of body; flat base with slightly flared and rounded lip. Dark brown almost black pearlescent glaze present across entirety of interior and exterior surface. Chipping and areas of loss around rim.
