Description
Pedestal foot from a vessel of medium, grey fabric with a black burnished surface, of Hallstatt A or B. The pedestal is cylindrical and decorated with: two rows of incised dashed lines towards the bottom, incised zigzag lines at the top, shallow grooves where the pedestal joins the base of the vessel, and three perforations that are offset from each other. The perforations are filled with traces of plant fibre, and have been strung with three rows of modern red thread, possibly as an attempt to replicate a design motif.
