Description
A biconical jar of medium, dark grey fabric with a black, burnished surface. Hallstatt B. The jar has: a very small, slightly concave base; a biconical body, decorated above the centre with a row of zigzag slash marks, with a shallow horizontal groove above; three horizontal incised lines on the upper body and neck; a tall, concave neck; an everted, flat-topped rim with a shallow indentation around the inner edge. Slash marks have traces of white infill, possibly lime.
