Description

A jug of medium, dark grey fabric with a black, burnished surface. Hallstatt A. The jug has: a small dimple in the centre of a rounded base; a squat, biconical body decorated with four shallow, horizontal grooves around the widest point, and three rows of very finely incised lines on the upper body; a short, concave neck; an everted rim; a flat, vertical loop handle on the upper body, surrounded by five to six shallow, parallel grooves.
