This object has been incorrectly marked and inventoried. It is marked with 1925.735 (which matches another group of French handaxes from the Somme area) and has been inventoried and given a catalogue card as 1923.735 A (that number matches glass vases from the Ransom collection). The object is clearly labelled as coming from Chelles and bears its original red MAN number. It has thus been added to the Z 25763 E series (all on deposit from the MAN and coming from Carrière Trioux in Chelles).
