Context (Amendments / updates)
The accession register suggests that this object may be part of the Walter Kidman Foster Bequest of 1891, and based on the label, may originate from Scandinavia. Similar terret rings from the Foster Bequest originate from Auvernier, Lake Neuchâtel, Switzerland (see Z 39487, Z 41676 A and Z 41676 B). Western Europe and Switzerland have therefore been added to the Place field as suggested places of origin.
