Copper alloy terret ring, consisting of a large circular loop and a smaller sub-triangular auxiliary loop. Both loops have a circular cross-section. Larger loop is decorated either side of the auxiliary loop with diagonal grooves.

Context (Amendments / updates)
The accession register suggests that this object may be part of the Walter Kidman Foster Bequest of 1891, and based on the label, may originate from Scandinavia. Similar terret rings from the Foster Bequest originate from Auvernier, Lake Neuchâtel, Switzerland (see Z 39487, Z 41676 A and Z 41676 B). Western Europe and Switzerland have therefore been added to the Place field as suggested places of origin.
