Context (Amendments / updates)
On 14 June 2017 Olivier Touzé, PhD candidate at Université de Liège, examined this object. He believes that, rather than an awl on a backed blade it is a fragment of a tanged point (i.e. a Font-Robert point), therefore dating it to the Gravattian. The Description has therefore been updated accordingly, and the Period field updated to include 'Gravattian'.
