Description
One of two fragments of a copper alloy vessel (1901.267 and 1901.268). Repoussé band with pattern consisting of a row of bosses along upper margin and a band of short vertical lines below, the centre panel decorated with long-faced quadrupeds with bent tails. Perforated once at each cut edge. Re-fits with 1901.267.

One of two portions (1901.267 and 1901.268) of a repousse band: the pattern consists of a row of bosses along upper margin and a band of vertical lines below, the centre being filled in with a string of four-footed animals of late Celtic design. Animals are horses? - see notes. ?Part of a situla. The two pieces,each perforated twice, fit together exactly.
