On the original catalogue card for 1923.1317 (the original card for 1923.1316 is apparently missing), written in Cyril Fox's handwriting, he notes: 'said to have been found together with 1316 in the village of Cawdor in a stone cist in 1882'. Fox adds later: 'Further information will be obtained shortly'. Whether this information was indeed obtained is currently unknown.
