There is also a piece of paper with the specimens with drawings and the following written on it: " Blade Core 2. Medium size totally chalk covered nodule more or less sub cone shaped one low protrusion. Blades removed from the platform with largeelk antler core exterior thigh supported. Platform trimmed with sandstone abrading. Core platform exhausted (core became too flat). Protrusions threatening to cause hinge fractures removed by alternate bifacial flaking direct percussion freehand withsandstone hammer. Core platform rejuvenation attempted by striking sharp edge of core against stationary porphyry hammerstone. Flake removed was perpendicular to desired result. Another attempt was made from the opposite margin. This time a small section of the edge was chipped away to form a platform. This time an andesite hammerstone was used freehand (direct percussion) the flake removed again was at an angle to the desired result. Core abandoned.' '
