Flint - Specimens of flint, treated chemically by the donor to illustrate the different patinas produced by the same treatment applied to varying kinds of flint.
A: Unpatinated flint.
B, C, & D: All different flint, but similar in colour to A, treated by the same method for the same length of time.
E: Similar flint to one of pieces B,C, or D, treated by different method.
B,C & D: Tannic acid & washing soda.
E: Caustic Soda
