Context (Amendments / updates)
Other examples of this style of coffin (e.g. from Naga ed Der and Tell el-Murra) are often assigned to the Naqada III or Protodynastic Period or the very early Dynastic Periods. Protodynastic and Naqada III have tentatively been added to the Period field (previously stating Predynastic only) and further investigation into this coffin's provenance may help define this period even further.
