Description
Bronze figure of a shrew mouse standing on a plain rectangular bronze box. The shrew has raised rounded ears and a pointed snout. Both the snout and the tail are held horizontally, the tip of the latter being supported by a short vertical bar of metal running down to the rear top edge of the box. The rear end of the box is now open, but the edges are hammered over to form flanges, which obviously originally held the missing panel with which the box was sealed.
