Context (Amendments / updates)
There were originally two records for Z 15634 (/Record 1 and /Record 2) that both referred to the same object, which was originally accessioned as 1898.541. However, one gave the Place as Tarkhan and one as ?Hierakonpolis. The latter is presumably due to the label affixed to the object which once read 'Hierakonpolis' and was later struck through and a '?' pencilled above. It is not clear who made the connection between this object and Tarkhan, but until that has been clarified the records have been combined and both Hierakonpolis and Tarkhan are listed tentatively in the Place field.
