Context (Analysis)
A kohl sample taken from this vessel was tested by Hardy and Rollinson, who found the substance was made up of the following compounds: 75% galena, 10 sphalerite, 6% laurionite, 4% quartz, 3% calcite, 2% gypsum. They believe the calcite comes from the container itself. For more information and analysis, see Bib.
