This object is part of a group found together at 'CT 1 (see plan on Pl. IV) at a level, 176, that indicates a Roman date... They may have been part of a game but were more probably a magical outfit' (p. 138). This group (Z 45462 - Z 45465, Z 45490, Z 45494 & Z 45499) were labeled as 'Magician's Outfit (?)' in Mond's illustration (Pl. XXXI).
