Context (Amendments / updates)
Catalogue card notes 'see 1898.73', but doesn't indicate why. It could be that the cataloguer was suggesting that this vessel came from the same context as 1898.73, excavated at Naqada by Flinders Petrie in 1894-1895 and donated to the Museum by Miss Griffith. However, the labels affixed to this object are not the same as those attached to the 1898 Griffith donation. Therefore, the possible connection between Z 16888 and 1898.73 is currently unknown.
