A typed loose note seen with objects Z 31362 and Z 31363 reads: 'SOCIETY OF ANTIQUARIES OF LONDON Three implements found deep in the clay st [sic] Wansunt pit, Crayford, Kent. Exhibited by the President' and an addition in hand writing 'Archaeologia, LXV, 208'. Whilst seen with all six objects, it is in reference to Z 31362.1-2 and Z 31363.2.

Whilst seen with 6 objects, note likely in relation to the three particular objects Z 31362.1-2 and Z 31363.2. On the reverse is 'T.T. Paterson Trinity College Cambridge'.

Smith and Dewey (1914): 'a small ovate implement... edges are quite sharp, the chipping unequal (one edge being zigzag and the other a slight but regular curve), and the colour a brownish grey with lighter markings' [p.207]
