Small wooden mortar with a round pedestal base and narrow bowl; a horizontal line has been cut around the centre of the base. 'V' shapes incised with double lines decorate the rim and a double horizontal line is incised around a small section of the centre. The surface of the wood is quite scratched, with a dark patina in places and some minor cracks run vertically down the length of the bowl. [Heather Donoghue 25.06.2012]
