Description

25 sherds of Pingsdorf ware. Six rim sherds: three with small, everted rim, short, constricted neck and small, flat, strap handle running from rim to body; one with small everted rim, short, constricted neck and a short, cylindrical spout below rim; one of a bowl with everted rim; one of a jug with everted rim and long neck. Seven base sherds of foortring base with thumbed impressions along the edge. Twelve body sherds. Many sherds decorated with red brown paint.

Description (Physical description)
Pingsdorf ware pottery sherds. Seven jug bases with pinched-out junction to side-wall. A rim of a jug and of a bowl, both undecorated. Four rims of jugs, three with small strap-handles and one with a short spout. Of these, three are decorated with red paint. Eleven miscellaneous body sherds with wavy or zig-zag bands or dashes, done in rough brush-strokes with brownish-red paint. One plain undecorated body sherd marked with paste. The paste is hard and well-fixed, it varies in colour from grey to yellowish to cream.
