Context (Amendments / updates)
Z 46198 – Z 46201 and Z 46203 were entered into the Z register as from the site of Nuqsarnaq, presumably based on the excavation numbers, which all start with ‘N’. However they actually correspond to those objects excavated by Rowley in June 1937 at the site of Neawhatolik, Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/2). The Place field and Field Collection have been updated accordingly.

Description (Physical description)
Section of worked antler, possibly a handle. Curved profile with oval cross-section; both ends terminated by bevelled cuts through cortical layer and a transverse break through the cancellous core; smoothed patch on one side shows evidence of tine removal.
