Accession No

Z 45201.1-3

Description

Fragmented wooden shafts, possibly for arrows. The smaller object (.1) is likely a fragment of a larger object; it is rectangular and tapers toward one end and it features a notch near to the tapering area. The other two objects (.2-3), larger in size, are possibly arrow shafts. Circular in cross-section, the distal end in one shaft finishes with a rounded tip, while the other shaft has a broken tip. The proximal end in both shafts finishes in a notched round head and features small horizontal lines. Both objects have cracks and material disintegration and have a dark-brown surface coloration.
