Description

Sledge runner made of whale bone. Elongated rectangular form with a plano-convex cross-section, the body has filleted edges transitioning from flat side to a rounded side. One end has a flat edge; six drill holes, five of which are filled with a fibrous material, interspersed irregularly across bode; the other end tapers to a broken point. Discoloured brown patina with pitting throughout, and material loss at the broken tip.
