One oblong piece of worked wood with one end, roughly square in cross section, tapering into blunt tip with a tightly wrapped strip of baleen that appears to be knotted at one point. Other end partly wedged with broken off tip. Surface partly covered with a black sticky substance.

This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
