One oblong thin knife of baleen with serrated blade and slightly off centred handle. Double edged blade with straight serrated sides ending in a pointed tip; short handle with squared end. Baleen strip peeled into at least two parts, held together by transverse threads of unknown material.

Description (Physical description)
Long thin piece of baleen. There is a short handle, the blade is serrated on both sides. There are six pieces of sinew tied around the harpoon at various intervals.

This collection was previously entered as from '?Southampton Island' and collected by Graham Rowley in 1936. However, they correspond to those excavated by Rowley in 1937 at the site of Avartoq [Akbahtok], Strathcona Sound, drawings of which are in his excavation notebook (XA/1/39/4). The Place field has been updated accordingly.
